Funciones del Puesto
This role participates in monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting closings; has significant responsibility in preparing reports for private companies, as well as other internal and external reports, and provides support to management and conducts technical research on accounting and reporting standards.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES / FUNCTIONS:
Accounting closing and consolidations: Complete periodic accounting closing activities and monthly consolidation of results for use in internal and external reports.
Private company reports: Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual financial statements (including all required footnotes and related disclosures). This includes determining, requesting, and validating the necessary information for disclosures, preparing the required disclosures, resolving comments received from reviewers, and maintaining filing documents and other supporting documentation. Maintain documentary support for all disclosures included in Champ/Jostens private company financial statements and other filings. Assist in the preparation of other private company reports, such as support for management discussion and analysis (MD&A), support for audit committee meetings, and shareholder calls, as necessary/required.
Other internal/external reports: Prepare other internal and external reports, including earnings releases, financial reports for investors, bank reports, and board presentations.
Technical research and management support: Assist the direct supervisor as a liaison with external auditors for quarterly reviews and the annual audit, ensuring that support and explanations for all requests are provided in a timely manner. Conduct analysis of new accounting standards proposed by accounting standard setters to determine specific disclosure implications for Champ/Jostens private company reports and filings. Develop and implement sound accounting policies and procedures to maintain adequate financial control and GAAP compliance. Provide financial support to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and the Vice President Corporate Controller with various financial projects as needed. Ensure compliance with internal controls and all other compliance activities. Lead and participate in special projects, including technical accounting research and process improvements as needed.
Requisitos del Puesto
University degree in Accounting.
Experiencia Deseada
3-5 years of experience in accounting and reporting.
Expert knowledge of GAAP and external reporting requirements, accounting practices and procedures.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with all levels and functions within the organization. Change Management Time Management Results Orientation.
Highly detail-oriented, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to learn new systems.
Excellent computer skills, with knowledge in Excel and Access, Oracle, BPC, SAP.
