Funciones del Puesto

Manage all processes related to new product development for the company, working and partnering up with both, external and internal team members to ensure timelines and expectations are achieved. Is also the operational liaison in between marketing and product team with the manufacturing plant.

Work with the product team to evaluate and select the correct material to be used when developing a new style/product
Coordinate with the process Engineering and QA team the correct method, equipment and quality standards needed to manufacture the new product
Lead the product development team to ensure all samples are produced within the standards
Lead and coordinate with internal departments (IT, Planning, Procurement and Finance) to create in our internal systems all structure needed to be able to track new products in our ERP.
Develop and keep up to date all Company’s BOM and Specifications.
Keep all cost sheets updated
Participate in decisions related to the selection, promotion, transfer, pay and discipline of assigned personnel.
Clearly communicate job duties and responsibilities to enable individuals to proceed with certainty in the performance of their positions.
Monitor the work performance of assigned personnel on a continual basis; conduct effective performance reviews; take corrective action whenever necessary and, where necessary, work with HR Generalists to establish performance improvement plans.
Support the development of assigned personnel’s skills and abilities, and demonstrate by personal example the desired standards of conduct (Jostens values) and work performance.
Identify and resolve skill gaps and succession issues.
Administer Company policies with regard to discipline, absenteeism, etc., in a fair and equitable manner, and fully document all incidents and actions taken.
Involve assigned HR Generalist on compliance issues such as pay equity, equal opportunity in hiring and promotions, and proper procedures for hiring, terminations, lay-offs, etc.

Requisitos del Puesto

• Degree in Textile Manufacturing, Product Design, Engineering, or Business
• Bilingual English/Spanish

Preferred:
• Master’s degree in Product Development
• Apparel product development experience

Experiencia Deseada

• +5 years of experience leading product development processes and new style creation
• Experience and demonstrated ability to develop and implement projects implementation
